Spark! Culture Cave is a conceptual business idea developed by our team of 4 students. This was a semester-long exercise in creating a startup by identifying a market opportunity using design research findings, trends and competitive analysis. During the course of the semester, we created a business model, a marketing plan, brand strategy and positioning, a product journey map and a detailed budget for the company. This video was made to explain our business idea as the last deliverable to make a final pitch at venture capitalists to get seed funding.
spark! believes that the best way to teach kids about culture is through stories enhanced by interactive and hands-on activities that spring from that narrative. So we created a cultural immersion experience for kids ages 6 to 10 years. At the core of this idea is an iPad app that narrates a story rich in cultural nuances, information, games and other interactive activities. Additionally, a 'tent' provides a dedicated space for the kids to explore and learn more. Furthermore parents can get involved with hands on activities like making sushi or learning to play the traditional drums.
